The chefs at QT Port Douglas’ signature restaurant are hanging up their hats and closing the doors to Bazaar Interactive Marketplace, but not for long. After a well-earned hiatus, the buzzing restaurant will reopen in late March, with a reinvigorated menu bursting at the seams with the freshest, trawler-to-table and paddock-to-plate produce that Far North Queensland has to offer.
Pairing the infectious energy of the inspired international street stall, souks and bodegas, with QT sophistication, Bazaar has been running at full steam since opening 18 months ago, serving up a veritable mosaic of foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner to thousands of guests and Port Douglas locals alike.
Akin to a soul-searching yoga retreat, Bazaar will be taking a short break to reconnect with its roots and refresh before relaunching on Thursday, March 27. The restaurant will spend seven weeks lovingly tending to its budding on-site garden, sourcing the freshest of local seafood and developing exciting new dishes to add to its line up of refreshing organic salads, fresh king prawns and mouthwatering chilled spanner crabs.
With Sunday, February 2 being the last day of public trading, Bazaar will remain open for breakfast only throughout the ‘fishing’ period, while relaxed evening dining will be offered in the resort’s chic lounge bar Estilo with an extended a la carte menu.
